LinguaPix is an interactive iPad application designed to support the development of expressive language skills through three distinct activities: Flashcards, Matching, and Pick or Spin. This app accommodates up to eight users simultaneously, allowing them to engage in various linguistic tasks such as naming, describing, and sentence formulation.

The free version of LinguaPix offers the Health and Safety deck, which consists of 77 cards featuring real photographs depicting nouns and verbs. Additionally, users can access 14 other themed decks through in-app purchases, covering topics such as Animals, Body Parts, Clothing, and more. In total, LinguaPix comprises 15 decks, averaging 70 cards each, culminating in a comprehensive collection of 1,035 cards.

One notable feature of LinguaPix is the ability for users to create personalized decks within the Create module, provided they have purchased all the pre-made options. Users can either capture their own photographs or utilize images from their camera roll to craft cards suitable for the Flashcards, Matching, and Pick or Spin activities. These custom decks can be integrated with existing pre-made decks for enhanced functionality in the available activities.

LinguaPix incorporates four specific tasks across its activities: Say It, Repeat It, Expand It, and Describe It. The Say It task focuses on naming images; Repeat It encourages users to repeat modeled phrases; Expand It assists in creating sentences; and Describe It involves answering WH questions related to the images. The Flashcards activity features all four tasks, while Matching includes Say It and Repeat It, and Pick or Spin encompasses Expand It and Describe It.
